Office 2010 and Lotus Notes 8.5 both virtualized

To enable the most integration between Office and Lotus Notus you will need to edit the OSD files.

Without this you won't be able to open embedded files.

Actually with this solution you will be able to open those files that you always had problems with.

First find the OSD for Word, Excel or any other application you want to integrate with Lotus Notes and open it with a text editor. Now find the line that starts with <CODEBASE HREF and copy it. In this example I'm showing the Word OSD.

Now open the Lotus Notes OSD and create a new tag <DEPENDENCIES> and </DEPENDENCIES>  between the <ENVLIST /> and </VIRTUALENV> tags.

Now paste that line between the DEPENDENCIES tags.

For maximum integration do the same in the vice-versa way. Eg. Copy that reference from the Office application and paste it in the Lotus OSD.
