SMBus base address uninitialized – upgrade BIOS or use force_addr=0xaddr

Today I was trying to install Ubuntu 10.11 in one of my Hyper-V VMs when this error pop up. After the error you will see a lot of lines of installation ending in a blink cursor. No UI.

If you face the same problem, reset the VM and after selecting the language just press F6 and press enter to select acpi=off then ESC to go back. This should do it.
